University of Houston Law Center debuts searchable database of Fortune 500 company codes of conduct

In 2010, Houston lawyer Ryan McConnell led a project to create a publicly available database that allows users to benchmark compliance policies set forth in Fortune 500 codes of conduct.  Four years and several thousand work hours later, the database is available for free on the University of Houston’s website.  Dozens of UH law students and graduates worked on the database which now covers three years of Fortune 500 codes with 42 different compliance topics ranging from privacy to anti corruption.
