There is no denying that the political and social movements in the past year have led to more questions about diversity progression than praise for any accomplishment.

Whether the issue is gender pay gaps, board representation, or the perception of equality across the organization, companies are in a unique position to influence change–despite very real challenges they still have yet to overcome. While some solutions may be quickly addressed by change in policy, there are deeper intra-company and industry-wide attitudes that require a renaissance of leadership values to advance companies around the world and accelerate growth and opportunity through a diverse culture.

At this year’s 2018 Global Ethics Summit, the plenary panel, “Diversity: A Company Culture and Performance Imperative,” brought industry leaders together to share forward-thinking practices and amplify the need for greater application of values ethical culture, and responsible practices. Moderated by Preston Clark, President, Higher Education & Corporate Compliance, EVERFI, the panel featured:

  • Ilene S. Gordon, Executive Chairman, Ingredion Incorporated
  • Oris Stuart, Senior Vice President, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, National Basketball Association
  • Deborah Wright, Member of the Board of Directors, Voya Financial, Time Warner, and Citigroup
