In New York this week, hundreds of CEOs, C-level Executives, Directors, Legal and Compliance and Ethics professionals gathered at Ethisphere’s 8th Annual Global Ethics Summit  to advance the dialogue around corporate integrity and performance.

More International Cooperation from Regulators
Opening keynote: On Wednesday, Alex Dimitrief, General Counsel and Senior Vice President sat down with Neal Hochberg, Senior Managing Director and Global Leader, Forensic & Litigation Consulting, FTI to discuss how ethics can power the future of company performance. Also, Dimitrief spoke about simplifying compliance and how this method can drive transparency and value across business divisions.

JUST RELEASED: 2016 Anti-Bribery & Corruption Report
In a joint study, Kroll and Ethisphere launched the 2016 Anti-Bribery and Corruption report, which highlighted that 40 percent of all compliance officers surveyed believe their company’s bribery and corruption risks will increase in 2016. Moreover, survey respondents are seeing more engagement from the board and CEOs as bribery and corruption issues have crept up to the boardroom agenda. Click here to download the full report.

Remarks from Brad Katsuyama, CEO and Co-Founder, IEX Group
During Wednesday’s networking lunch, Brad Katsuyama, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, IEX Group; Focus of Michael Lewis’ book “Flash Boys” discussed why ethical companies are principled and have a head start to financially outperform their peers.

The Ethical Advantage, and Performance
Wednesday’s closing keynote featured Patrick Quinlan, CEO, Convercent and other top CEOs including Stanley M. Bergman, Chairman of the Board and CEO, Henry Schein, Inc; V. Ann Halley, Independent Director and Chair of Audit Committee, Realogy; and Richard Davis, Chairman, President & CEO, U.S. Bancorp. During this session, the speakers all agreed that one thing is certain: ethics is the differentiator, the innovator and “the mover and shaker for the next decade”.
