This week we feature an interview with Avis Russell, Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of Parsons Corporation, a multi-year World’s Most Ethical Companies® Honoree with a leading voice in business integrity and global markets as they did in the 2016 Middle East Ethics & Compliance Summit.
In this episode, Avis, a speaker at our 9th Annual Global Ethics Summit chats with Ethisphere about building an effective information governance program, collaborating with key internal stakeholders and making sense of cyber and privacy concerns.
Highlights from the interview:
Ethisphere: What trends are you seeing in information governance these days?
Avis: There is an effort to communicate that information governance should be a coordinated and collaborative program that is not solely an IT department’s responsibility but the responsibility of the businesses as well as the functions that support those businesses.
Ethisphere: How is attending the Global Ethics Summit beneficial to you as a speaker and as an attendee?
Avis: The Global Ethics Summit provides innovative approaches to meeting compliance requirements and it helps companies increase the ethical culture of their businesses around the world. We try to improve upon our ethics and compliance program each year and hearing what other industry professionals are doing and how they are addressing risks is always useful.
